Welcome to Broken Worship!
My name is Zach Mitchell, and I'm an author, poet, podcaster, and most importantly, an imperfect follower of Jesus Christ.
I created Broken Worship with a simple message: Even in our brokenness, we have a reason to worship.
Throughout my journey, I've openly shared my struggles, my imperfections, and my personal growth in my relationship with Jesus Christ. Through my books, poetry, and podcast, I've shared not only my faith but also my questions, doubts, mistakes, and the lessons I've learned along the way.
My journey hasn't been perfect, and neither has my faith. But through it all, I've continued searching for God's love, grace, and truth.
I believe everyone has a story. Some stories are filled with joy, while others are filled with heartbreak, regret, mistakes, and struggles. Most of us have experienced a little of everything.
But here's something I've come to believe wholeheartedly: Our brokenness does not determine our worth.
God's love isn't reserved for those who have everything figured out. It's not something we earn by attending the right church, following the right religious traditions, or pretending to be someone we're not.
Jesus taught us to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. And I believe that includes people from every background, every walk of life, and every circumstance. But we also need to recognize our own worth, we can't share the love of God with others until we know the love that God has for each and every one of us personally.
Whether you're a lifelong Christian, someone questioning your faith, someone who has been hurt by religion, or someone simply searching for hope, you're welcome here.
Because Broken Worship isn't about being perfect. It's about discovering grace in the middle of our imperfections. It's also about healing and growing as we start pursuing Jesus on our spiritual journey of faith. 
Writing has become one of the most meaningful ways I've been able to express my faith, share my experiences, and connect with others.
What began as a passion for music, lyrics, and poetry has grown into a creative journey involving books, spoken-word poetry, podcasts, and videos.
Over the years, I've published several books exploring faith, love, brokenness, personal struggles, and spiritual growth. My poetry collections include Broken Worship, No Darkness in Light, Ground to Stand On, and My Faith Will Not Be Safe.
I've also explored my faith through nonfiction works, including Imperfectly Spreading a Perfect Gospel and Saving Grace: It's Not About You Anymore, and through my novel, Grace, Love, and Some Football.
Each book represents a different chapter of my life. Some reflect my struggles and frustrations, while others reveal the lessons I've learned and the ways my understanding of faith has evolved.
Beyond writing, I'm the creator and host of the Broken Worship Podcast, where I explore faith, music, personal experiences, and the challenges of following Jesus in an imperfect world.
Through all these creative outlets, my hope and prayer remain the same: to encourage people, challenge perspectives, inspire meaningful conversations, and remind others that they are never beyond the reach of God's love.
